EFLA®HyperPure
In our Swiss facilities in Wädenswil, Frutarom applies a highly innovative manufacturing technology called EFLA®HyperPure. This technology is a patented, environmentally-friendly process for the elimination of undesirable lipophilic residues and contaminants from the extract and has become a key process for a large number of the company's herbal extracts. Application of EFLA®HyperPure leads to enhanced stability and water solubility of the extract, a higher degree of purity and optimum and safe processing quality .

Biogas plant
The sustainable and responsible environmental policy is a crucial commitment for Frutarom. This is being demonstrated by maintaining the highest standards of environmental responsibility throughout our production facilities worldwide.
In its plant in Switzerland, Frutarom built a biogas plant to recycle the waste of herbal extract production into energy. The biogas plant produces 3300 kWh of energy and 5500 kWh of heat per day as well as clean recyclable water.
As a result Frutarom Switzerland’s CO2 emission was reduced by 300 tons per year.
